VG:
Dishonored Definitive Edition brings the original 2012 release of Arkane's stealth-action game to PS4 and Xbox One owners, alongside the three DLC packs. But just how well has the game been ported to new consoles and does it warrant a £29.99 price tag?

MNJ:
If you never played Dishonored then Dishonored Definitive Edition may be a worthy buy for you. If you have, and have already played the DLC, then this release offers nothing new. The gameplay is still fun and offers choice to the player but with no new content and with a graphical facelift that any socialite would demand their money back, I think that releasing this Definitive Edition is simply Bethesda trying to maintain the hype for Dishonored 2.

Arkane Studios' Dishonored is one of those cult-classic games that we have fond memories of. Except it wasn't a cult classic - the game did fairly well for itself and actually released recently (about three years ago in 2012).

GamingTrend:
Dishonored was one of those games that caught us off guard. The sleek and obtuse retro-future steampunk/gaslamp aesthetic created a world that captured more than a few Game of the Year nominations, including our own. With incredible and varied gameplay, it was only a matter of time before Arkane and Bethesda hammered out a sequel. Well, before we get to that freshly-announced second installment, we also have an opportunity to check out Dishonored on current-gen platforms courtesy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition.

Metro:
With a sequel due next year first person hit Dishonored comes to Xbox One and PS4 for the first time, but what, if anything, has changed?
The phrase Game of the Year Edition is a great marketing term. Not only does it suggest a high value package, while being as non-specific as possible about the contents, but it almost sounds like an officially-authorised title something bestowed upon it by some external judge of quality. But it is of course nothing of the sort. The term is as malleable and meaningless as a publisher wants it to be, just like Ultimate Edition and Definitive Edition. But then Dishonored: Imperceptibly Better Edition probably wouldnt sell as much.
