Nintendo just announced the new lower price for five of their top-selling first-party 3DS games. Starting April 22, you can get Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for $29.99

You know, Nintendo, you're making it really hard to love you.

I admit, I'm ready to defend Nintendo at any turn. People complain about slow Wii U sales, but most Nintendo systems (and consoles in general) start slow. No exclusive titles? No mature titles? Nintendo answered both of those issues with Bayonetta 2. When people whined about Nintendo not doing anything new, Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze reminded everyone why those IPs are still going strong. Even when Nintendo announced in the latest Nintendo Direct that the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. would release in summer as opposed to the Wii U version , which will hit shelves in winter, and all the Nintendo doomsayers started ringing the bells once again, the Mario Machine's defenders said that it was to prolong capitalization of the game's launch window. What could be better than one launch window but two launch windows?

Maybe it's not quite as sad as the blank screen in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but it isn't much better.

Up Up Down Down: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

GameZone: "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze isn't an evolutionary step for the series, but its level design is so beautifully intricate that it's impossible to deny that this game may very well have surpassed its predecessor, if not every single entry in the series that came before it."

Yoshi's New Island Review: Crayons Are For Kids | TheHDRoom

Added: 28.03.2014 17:15 | 13 views | 0 comments

TheHDRoom: "The art style for Nintendo's Yoshi's New Island, a 3DS-exclusive platforming successor to the multiple Yoshi-centric games that came before it, is best described as influenced by a large box of children's crayons. In fact, the entire game feels as if it were designed with players ages 6 and under in mind. It is the antithesis of the challenging Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, whose forgiveness allows beginners to reach the end without assistance and advanced players to ponder where the challenge resides."
