IrrationalPassions: D4 Review

Added: 14.11.2014 9:11 | 12 views | 0 comments

Alex from Irrational Passions writes: "D4: Dark Dreams Dont Die is another case of the weirds, and anyone familiar with Deadly Premonition, Swerys last major project, will have an idea of what to expect. D4 is a bit different though, fully embracing a soap-opera style, from absurd intro cutscene to melodramatic and over-acted characters. Thats something to point out at the top here: everything absurd is normal here, and when you see a large man consuming five hot dogs in one bite, just take it in stride, because its gonna get crazier."

Review: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Patch 2.4) - Destructoid

Added: 13.11.2014 7:12 | 3 views | 0 comments

Destructoid: "The prospect of playing as a Ninja again in Final Fantasy excited me. After working my way up to level 50 in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the class ended up having so much style and substance that it changed the game for the better, and I'll be enjoying it for months to come. While the rest of the Dreams of Ice update wasn't as enjoyable as playing a Ninja at endgame, A Realm Reborn remains worth playing."

Tim Schafer Dreams Of An Open-World Grim Fandango Sequel

A sequel to Tim Schafer and co's classic skeleton noir LucasArts adventure, Grim Fandango? Be still, my non-beating heart. This is only an idea that's been kicking around in Schafer's skull for a while, but it's an exciting one nonetheless. And it's inspired by Grand Theft Auto, of all things.

D4: Dark Dreams Dont Die Review {Critically Sane}

Added: 23.10.2014 16:12 | 7 views | 0 comments

Critically Sane: "Nearly everything about D4 is done right, but it does flail a bit when one looks at what the game actually offers in its package. Season One consists of a prologue and two full episodes, and will take anywhere from three to five hours on a first playthrough. Where it ends, the game feels a bit unfinished. And I dont mean unfinished in the sense that I know there is no more to come either. Season one just kind of ends with no resolution and with no date set for when Season Two will arrive and just feels a bit half done. This is a shame, because if the narrative had been fleshed out to complete a more narrow story arc, it would be much easier to recommend. Still, I loved my time with D4 and more importantly, I cant wait for Season Two to arrive so I can continue this crazy mystery, but some people might just want to wait until D4 is a more fleshed out experience before diving in."
