Hands on with DuckTales Remastered | n3rdabl3

The gameplay is as hard as its ever been which I love, its not been made any easier and at times its frustrating, if anything its exactly like the original title in terms of difficulty. The controls are ridiculously simple too with one button for jump and another to make Scrooge use his walking stick as a pogo stick and use his cane to hit various objects. Immediately I discovered that theres a knack to using the pogo jump at the right time or youll just end up bouncing into an enemy. Its simple controls like this that let you get volved with the gameplay and the story rather than stopping every few seconds to check youre hitting the right button.

| What Capcom's DuckTales remake taught me about inner childhood and existentialism

GameZone's Josh Wirtanen writes, "DuckTales was an enormous part of my childhood. I know youre probably thinking, Hey, me too! but youre wrong. While whatever love Im sure you had for the series is probably valid, its a tiny spark when compared the blazing forest fire of my own. What I had was an obsession, and it probably wasnt healthy."

EGM: "While I didnt love the game as much as EGMs reviews editor Ray Carsillo, I still have a soft spot in my heart for DuckTales. The days of Nintendos 8-bit console were also the era of countless classic Capcom platformers, and its with good reason that DuckTales is still beloved 20+ years later."

Jed from Fate of the Game says- "Is it just me, or did Capcoms E3 line-up suck? As a Capcom fan, I think the company should have offered more than Dead Rising 3, DuckTales Remastered, Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, and a new Phoenix Wright title for the 3DS. In contrast, companies like Ubisoft didnt leave gamers wanting more."

CCC says: "I doubt even Capcom expected such an elated response from nostalgic gamers when they announced the revival of one of the greatest Disney platform games of all time, DuckTales. Despite everyone born from 1990 onwards being oblivious to the cartoon series and likely scratching their heads at us old farts for cheering Capcom on, the simple yet exhilarating gameplay from the DuckTales video game makes it more than worth remaking."
