Last week was a great time to be a portable gaming enthusiast in Japan, as not one, but two highly anticipated titles launched on Thursday in Fire Emblem Fates and Persona 4: Dancing All Night.
The latest numbers from Media Creates have been released, and Nintendo had an excellent week in Japan. Fire Emblem Fates sold 260,000 single units and 43,000 dual-packs, meaning that the game sold a total of 346,000 units in its first week on the market.
Despite being the first Nintendo game to allow same-sex marriage, one sub-plot in 3DS role playing game Fire Emblem Fates is pretty homophobic. It includes a character who defines her attraction to women as a "weakness" and who is essentially drugged by another character to trick her mind into being heterosexual.
