| The unsung hero of Metal Gear Solid
Added: 08.09.2015 13:17 | 56 views | 0 comments
Solid Snake was always supposed to be the hero of the Metal Gear franchise. He was inspired by Snake Plissken from Escape From New York. His image on the cover of the NES version of Metal Gear is almost identical to Kyle Reese in The Terminator. He's saved the day countless times from the grips of nuclear holocaust. Solid Snake is, in many ways, the ultimate video game representation of the archetypal Hollywood hero; unwavering in the face of overwhelming odds, unflinching at the sight of threats both nuclear and supernatural. Even when Raiden takes center stage in MGS2, Solid Snake is still very much the hero of that game, even as he guides Raiden to complete his objectives.

| Even Duck Game's Creator Doesn't Know How to Impress the Computer

VgamerZ: "If youre a fan of the fast-paced, 2D arena shooter Duck Game, you know full well just how difficult it is to impress the AI judge at the end of a match. No matter what kinds of maneuvers you and your fellow players manage to pull off, youll rarely see the computer respond with anything other than ughhhh. Well, you and your friends can stop feeling so bad about your waterfowl skills, because even the man who made the game doesnt know how to impress the judgmental AI."

Ever since emerging onto the scene way back in the 70s, Racing games have successfully resonated with fans as an ever-evolving genre fueled by innovation, acceleration, and excitement. No matter how complex or difficult everyday life may be, these types of gameplay experiences always brought out the competitive spirit in people and served as the perfect distraction from the norm. In May of 2005, Turn 10 Studios contributed to this movement by introducing us all to Forza Motorsport, an ambitious racing game simulator that exceeded expectations and became a critically acclaimed franchise for the Xbox brand.
Now in its tenth anniversary year as a series, the latest entry is nothing short of marvelous and is destined to drive a lot of Xbox One Elite Controller and console sales this fall. Simply put, Forza Motorsport 6 leaves a historical imprint on the genre and convincingly takes the crown as the undisputed champion of racing games.

EB: Graphically, Forza 5 looked decidedly better than its Xbox 360 ancestors, and its driving was fine-tuned and fun. Forza 6 does nothing but refine what was already great, and makes large strides towards addressing what wasnt. From the menus to the drivatars, from the career mode to the hundreds of available cars unlocked from the start, just about everything is better this time around. Even without touching the 70+ hours of the core career mode, Forza 6s multiplayer suite and quick races offer endless driving entertainment and so far, the best of what this generation has offered to the genre.

Every wondered what it'd be like if Beyond Good and Evil 2 was a game that actually existed and had been released to the public? This virtual reality experience offers fans the chance to find out, with VR headsets sending them to a life-like recreation of a video game shop in which they'll be able to pick up and look at copies of the hypothetical sequel to Michel Ancel's cult classic.
IBT Games has a few other suggestions for Ubisoft's theme park too.
