Seijiro Nakamura as Chris Redfield? Resident Evil stage plays cast is entirely Japanese

RN24: "Im never really sure what I should call the zombie action series that began as a hit PlayStation game in 1996. Resident Evil, its internationally used name, is a lot more colorful than Biohazard, its Japanese one, but only the first of the many games takes place primarily in a home. Whats more, the source of the trouble is science run amok, not dark magic, so the evil part seems a touch melodramatic. On the other hand, there are now five films in the franchise, with a sixth on the way, all of which are produced in English and usually come to Japan only after already premiering overseas, so score one point for Resident Evil. But in the case of its upcoming stage adaptation, set to open in two months, I really think Biohazard is the most appropriate name, because it looks like every single member of the cast is Japanese."

Lords of New York Is The Most Surprising Game at PAX

Added: 31.08.2015 15:00 | 59 views | 0 comments

Even when surrounded by the onslaught of indie games at PAX Prime 2015, Lords of New York is the most indie of them all. Where the indie genre is becoming slowly saturated with roguelike, procedurally-generated actions titles inspired by the Souls series (not a bad thing really, but a very noticeable trend), Lords of New York is a poker RPG... set in the Prohibition era... with a narrative that's based on the mafia and transforms depending on your choices with the morality system. The concept alone may just the most niche, most innovating thing I've ever heard in a long time. And you'd be hard pressed to find another game that's as far outside the box than this is.

5 Weird Character Based Kart Racing Games for Android and 1 Edutainment on Wheels Game

Added: 31.08.2015 14:18 | 28 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "Ever since Nintendo released Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, oh so many years ago, companies have tried to copy that specific formula for success with varying results. Sega is one such company that has tried to take their existing stable of characters and create kart racing games with them as the stars (Sonic R on Saturn and more recently two of the games on this list). Even Sony got in on the action with Crash Team Racing on the original Playstation, even the WWE has a kart racing game out (on Playstation 2). This is one of those genres that is pretty much dominated by one or two companies (Nintendo usually doesnt have all that much to worry about). We feel that the key to success in this genre is the characters, hence this list."

Calvino Noir Review | PlayStation Enthusiast

Added: 31.08.2015 10:17 | 2 views | 0 comments

"I really wanted to like Calvino Noir. Ever since finishing L.A. Noir I have waited patiently for the next great noir title to satisfy my melancholy, storytelling desires. It looks good (other than stilted character animations), its wonderfully well written, and it captures the gloomy rain-soaked noir atmosphere perfectly. A sinister foreboding presence always accompanies your fellow protagonists, where its characters are only ever a plot twist away from betrayal. However, it never quite clicks. Its obvious there are some great ideas, but the gameplay and controls make it too clunky and over-cumbersome to really enjoy. Calvino Noirs blend of mechanics just never successfully mesh." -- PlayStation Enthusiast

Will There Ever be a Good Video Game Movie?

Added: 31.08.2015 7:18 | 15 views | 0 comments

"This is just one of those things right? One so very aggravating; the fact that we just cant seem to make a great movie adaptation of a video game. We try and try and try again, but we never seem to get it right. Now, theres a difference between a successful movie franchise and a good movie. Take in to account Resident Evil for example. The movie adaptation franchise has found a high amount of success in the box office compared to other attempts at bringing our favorite games to the big screen, but the movies are mediocre at best. They started off promising, sure, but maybe Hollywood took over a little too much -- PlayStation Enthusiast
