Deadly Premonition Remains the Weirdest Video Game of the Modern Era

Added: 30.03.2015 6:21 | 16 views | 0 comments

Vice: Released in February 2010, during the peak of the Xbox 360 era, Deadly Premonition offered the world a unique window into gaming's delightfully ramshackle and sometimes ugly past at a time when big-box video games could be incredibly conservative. The obtuse masterpiece was the product of six years of tireless work by a young Japanese auteur named Hidetaka Suehiro, who is commonly referred to as SWERY or Swery65. Production began at Access Games back in 2004 under the title Rainy Woodsan ambitious "cynical urban drama" with a strong focus on forensic science and murder mystery. The game was officially unveiled at Tokyo Game Show in 2007 earning immediate comparisons to David Lynch's classic TV drama Twin Peaks. But production was ceased shortly thereafter due to "technological difficulties." A more educated guess would be that Access risked facing a lawsuit for creative, or copyright theft, despite the end product remaining heavily in debt to Lynch's vision.

Hell Freezes Over as EA Updates 'NBA Jam' for Modern Devices

TouchArcade: In the fall of 2010, EA revived the legendary NBA Jam franchise in what was originally planned to be a bonus game included with the purchase of their basketball sim NBA Elite 11 on consoles. A rebooting of the well-known and long-running NBA Live franchise, NBA Elite 11 was plagued with development problems and eventually cancelled prior to release. Thankfully, EA decided to release the rebooted NBA Jam in October of 2010 as a standalone digital download on consoles, and in February of the following year that game made its way to iOS devices. And let me tell you, NBA Jam [$0.99 / $4.99 (HD)] was glorious on the iPhone.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Review - CasualRunsLive

Added: 28.03.2015 5:18 | 10 views | 0 comments

CasualRunsLive: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is an action role-playing video game developed and produced by Capcom. It was released in the US on February 13, 2015. It the second game in the series to be released on the Nintendo 3DS. It has a single player campaign, local area co-op, and online multiplayer. I recommend downloading all of the available DLC before you start playing. It is available via the main menu under DLC. It is not a requirement to have played any of the other Monster Hunter games, since all of the games in the series are not connected and have unique storylines. This review is based on my completion of the main story and 60 hours of online play.
