Eurogamer - Breach Clear Review
Added: 31.07.2013 14:19 | 9 views | 0 comments
EG:There is the skeleton of a strong tactical video game running through Breach Clear. It may lack the roundness and heft of Frozen Synapse or X-Com: Enemy Unknown (both heavyweight strategy games that launched on iOS this year) but it also has an appeal that's distinct from these titles: the thrill of arranging a trap and then watching from the sidelines as its various components trigger. However, at this partial stage of development, Breach Clear relies too heavily on promise rather than fulfilment. It has burst onto the App Store arguably before it was fully ready - ironic for a game that, more than most, should understand that how one makes an entrance is of utmost importance.

Sometimes I think the only things I love more than free games and great sales are even greater game bundles, where I can snag upwards of five stellar games with whatever spare change I have rattling around in my pockets. The good news for you is that this weekend you'll have plenty of great gaming bundles to splurge on, including one that nets you ten full indie games for the measly price of $5.00! |

Mode 7s Frozen Synapse was the darling of the indie scene when it premiered on PC less than two years ago. Taking a page from the modern indie gaming scenes godfathers, Introversion Software, it offered a compelling, deep, and unique spin on the turn-based strategy genre, combined with a stark minimalism that manages to pass for style. After quite a bit of success with the Humble Indie Bundle in 2011, Frozen Synapse returns for the latest Android bundle with a brand new mobile port, and anyone who has already cut their teeth on the PC game will feel right at home.

| Pocket Gamer - 1941 Frozen Front Review
Added: 15.07.2013 11:16 | 9 views | 0 comments
Pocket Gamer - t's high summer in 2013, but I'm going to put down my Pimms and rewind to those icy battles between the Germans and the Russians across the Ukrainian killing fields of 1941.
I'm going to do this via the relatively safe medium of HandyGames's freemium strategy game 1941 Frozen Front, which renders the slaughter of the Eastern campaign in turn-based hex-grid fashion.
Join me for the next seven days as I assess the situation on the front.
