PlayStationing writes: "Its been a little over a year since the last GRID game was released, and GRID Autosport has driven in a new direction and promises five different styles of racing and takes on all of the community feedback from the prior releases to give us one of their best racing games to date, but can it live up to the expectations?"

While GRID Autosport is a decent racing game with added authenticity, it feels more like a Greatest Hits concept than an actual step forward in the series.

Matt at Codec Moments writes: "Coming a little over one year after the last instalment, GRID Autosport continues the focus of multi-discipline racing gameplay that is the cornerstone of the series, but shifts focus away from pick-up-and-play arcade action and into a more hardcore track and car setup based arena. Does it deliver a pure racing experience usually reserved for the games that like to use sim in the advertising, or does it keep its accessible roots so that anyone can drive it? Don your Nomex suit, gloves and helmet (or not), and read on to find out."

NGB Wrote: "GRID Autosport is a racing title that offers the key elements of any racing title, fun and realism. With over 100 routes across 22 locations, GRID Autosport offers a deep and very competitive racing experience. Yes, the visuals are a let down, considering the exclusive of the PS4 and Xbox One, but I very much look forward to Codemasters first foray into the world of next-gen. GRID Autosport is one racing title I very much recommend you get, even on the last-gen consoles. Miss it, and you will miss out on a truly fantastic experience."

James Bowden: "Five styles of driving all done justice with one of the most violent and emergent racing engines available make GRID Autosport a compelling title for both car enthusiasts and petrol heads alike. Even if your interest in cars is merely fleeting, GRID Autosport juggles realism and aggressive satisfaction to deliver an intoxicating mix somewhere between the joy of an arcade racer and the science of a true sim. Excellent."

GRID 2 came out last year so why do we have GRID Autosport about to hit the track? Well not many people were happy with the direction Codemasters took with the sequel so the developers have decided to take the feedback and create Autosport. At first, I wasnt sure about where Autosport fits. Is it GRID 3 or what? but after testing out the game Autosport is probably the true successor to the original GRID and what number 2 should have been. Read our review.
