| onPause Review: GRID 2

onPause writes:
Codemasters excellent racing pedigree requires nearly no mention at this point as the UK development studio has built a reputation like no other with games like the DiRT series, Formula 1 and of course the GRID franchise at this point. GRID was released over 5 years ago and was astonishingly advanced when compared with its racing game peers back in 2007. GRID 2 therefore had quite a lot to live up to and fans expectations were high after a five year wait.

At E3 GRTV talked with the creative director for Infinite Crisis, Cardell Kerr, who had plenty to tell us about the latest map to land for the DC-flavoured MOBA title which is still in beta.
"Our goal has always been to double-down on our destructive PvP system," Kerr told us. "So one of the things you're going to see in Gotham Heights [the first map released for Infinite Crisis], you'll see a lot of vehicles and a lot of explosions, a lot of catastrophic events."
"What would be cooler than that from my point of view is not just having a catastrophic event happen, but having the players themselves wield one as a weapon and using it against the other team. Really that's what makes the epicentre of what makes Coast City [the new map revealed at E3] such a very distinct map, is that you'll be fighting over something called the Doomsday Device, and each time you use it does horrible things to both your opponents, and the map itself."
