Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a spin-off of the Ninja Gaiden series, replacing Ryu Hayabusa with a new protagonist and stripping away almost all its ninja ways. The game may have the Ninja Gaiden name, but none of the legacy from the franchise. If you were hoping Yaiba would be the game to write all the wrongs after the dismal Ninja Gaiden 3, you could be in for an extended wait.
