Team Ninja, the studio behind Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, has confirmed that it's working on a new game for PlayStation 4.

"First, we will release Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z for PS3 and Xbox 360, which we joint developed with the Inafune-led company Comcept. Please look forward to this ridiculous ‘zombie x ninja’ game," Team Ninja's Yosuke Hayashi shared with Dengeki Online. "Additionally, we’re also developing a PlayStation 4 title internally, so please look forward to future updates."

In a promotional video for Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z last December, Hayashi said "Team Ninja is thinking of the next Ninja Gaiden. For example, if the games were food, the Ninja Gaiden series would be a rich meaty entree and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z would be dessert."

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will launch for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 18.
