NE:
German website Nintendo-Online published a new report about The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask today. The site took a look back on the games creation and how it came to be.
One interesting aspect about Majoras Mask is that it was partially inspired by a cancelled project from Yoshiaki Koizumi, who went on to work on the Ocarina of Time sequel. If you havent heard about this before, you may want to check out the information summary passed along by Nintendo-Online its definitely interesting!
Yoshiaki Koizumi, current producer of the 3D Super Mario games at EAD Tokyo, co-directed Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time
After Ocarina of Time, Koizumi started working on a new game (late 1998?)
The project was likely a completely new game; Koizumi described it as a board game, based around the theme of cops and robbers

| German rating board USK rates Final Fantasy Type-0 HD aged 12+
Added: 31.01.2015 8:10 | 2 views | 0 comments
Despite the ESRB rating of M/Mature, the German age rating board USK rated Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for players aged 12+.
The ESRB previously complained:
"Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and large blood-splatter effects; some sequences depict blood stains on players' screen and corpses lying in pools of blood. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man stabbing himself with a sword; a girl shot by a sniper; a character shot close-up. During the course of the game, some female characters are depicted in outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage and jiggling breasts. In one sequence, players can use a spy camera to zoom in on a female character wearing a bikini. The game includes event scenes in which a character sedates/drugs players' character and performs unknown acts on them; it is implied that some of these acts may be of a sexual nature."

| German Ratings Board Rates Project Morpheus Title Higher in HMD Than On Screen

VRFocus- It's very possible that virtual reality (VR) technology will be a source of huge controversy when the industry inevitably arrives at a point of total immersion. New action experiences could allow players to realistically handle deadly weapons while horror titles will become much more convincing. Just how these issues will be resolved will be interesting to follow, although it could be that higher age restrictions are put in place. In fact, the German Rating Board has already put this approach into practice.

INQ: One of the reasons that Destiny players were anticipating the release of Crotas End Hard Mode was so that they could obtain the Crux of Crota that upgrades the Eidolon Ally to the Necrochasm. Thats proven to be exceedingly difficult for PlayStation and Xbox owners. However, one German player got the item to drop Sunday, giving hope to everyone else.

Jacob wrote: Last year, Alex Cote dove into the world of Blackguards; Blackguards is a tactical RPG that takes elements from board games like Risk and the aesthetics and appeal of dark video games like Diablo and blends them into one title. Now I have had the privilege of tackling the sequel from the German team at Daedalic Entertainment in Blackguards 2 to see if the newest installment has any new tricks, or it if is just a carbon copy of its predecessor.

| Mario Lives! Nintendo icon endowed with artificial intelligence by German students
Added: 20.01.2015 11:10 | 15 views | 0 comments
Students at Germany's University of Tubingen have created a programme that gives Nintendo's iconic mascot Mario artificial intelligence (AI) which allows it to learn.
The project, called Mario Lives! An Adaptive Learning AI Approach for Generating a Living and Conversing Mario Agent, allows players to communicate with and teach Mario about the familiar game he inhabits recreated by the researchers.
"Mario, how do you feel," asks one student in the example video below. "I feel very good," replies the plumber. Later the AI is asked what he knows about enemy Goombas. "I don't know anything about it," he responds before being told to find and kill one. He does so, then is asked what he knows about Goombas. "If I jump on Goomba, then it maybe dies," he says.
