"Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes launched last year and it was excellent. I said back then that I couldnt really do a performance guide since the game was locked at 60 FPS and it also ran at 60. This year we are rewarded with the actual complete game and as most of you expect, its just as good as Ground Zeros with very few differences in terms of settings. Let us start with the basic features for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain:"

| 5 Great Games That Feel Like Movies

Movies have long inspired video game creators. In some cases, developers went too far and turned their games into little more than movies with worse acting. The full motion video games from Sega CD like Ground Zero: Texas and Mad Dog McCree still give me nightmares.

In typical Kojima fashion, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain sports a number of hidden Easter eggs for fans of the franchise to discover. Just the other day, a special cutscene involving a key character from Ground Zeroes surfaced, totally flipping the script on everything players thought they knew about the events of the prologue.

When Luke Lohr first played Ground Zeroes, he hated it. With Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain receiving so much critical praise he decided to go back. What he found was a completely different game waiting for him...or rather, he was different.

You may have forgotten, but The Phantom Pain is actually the second Metal Gear Solid V. The first one, Ground Zeroes, served as a sort of extended demo to the new experience Kojima and company were creating. But serving as a taste wasnt all that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was good for, it also triggers quite a few unlocks for The Phantom Pain, provided that you meet certain requirements.

XB1:
While Ground Zeroes promised that The Phantom Pain would be the darkest and most challenging Metal Gear Solid game to date, the actual result feels more like an open-world Splinter Cell. When its all said and done, it feels like one of the most neutered games Kojima has ever delivered. Its still a fantastic stealth-action game, and you wont likely find a better scratch for that itch on Xbox One for a long time. Just dont come into it expecting this to be the game that re-writes the MGS playbook.
