The German Xbox site is currently running a promotion where fans can get consoles up to 150 off as long as they meet one requirement: having a high Gamerscore. The way the promotion works is that you request a voucher based on your current Gamerscore. So if you have 150,000 you get 150 off your console bundle. 20,000 gets you 20 , etc. The promotion is only available for German Xbox Live accounts and only for console bundles.

| The making of... Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

GR:
"Faceless zombies. Nightmarish chases. Nerve-jangling bursts of static. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories made no bones about wanting to terrify you. But the most shocking thing about it wasnt its monsters. It was the choice of lead platform. Released in December 2009 on Nintendo Wii, Shattered Memories was a bold some might say foolhardy attempt to take Silent Hill to a brand-new demographic: casual players. We thought, this is a chance for us to engage with what is potentially quite a large audience, remembers Sam Barlow, lead designer at Climax Studios. The pitch from us was always, How many people own a Wii? How many of those people have enjoyed watching a horror movie or psychological thriller? We thought there were quite a lot of people we could sell this game to.

| Lupiesoft And The Dizzy Hearts Kickstarter Controversy
Added: 01.06.2015 3:16 | 8 views | 0 comments
Marcus Estrada writes: "Of course, as any crowdfunding connoisseur is aware, projects take time. Heck, the oldest successfully funded Kickstarter video game project ever - High Strangeness - just launched this year! What we see occurring less frequently, however, is when a developer releases other games in between the period of crowdfunding a project and getting that project to market in some form. To most, it seems like an incredibly confusing decision at best, and as disingenuous and insulting at worst. Backers cant help but wonder what it all means. After all, if theres not enough time to complete a crowdfunding project then how on Earth is there time to put together a seperate game? Beyond that, dont backers have some sort of expectation of the game they backed being the priority of said development studio?"

| Exploring the cramped, beautiful cinematography of survival horror

KSD: Silent Hill 2 is a game that tells a straightforward story about repressed guilt. Protagonist James Sunderland comes to the titular town after receiving a letter from his dead wife Mary, and he meets a woman named Maria who looks a lot like Mary. The direction the story takes is unsurprising in its broad strokes: James may have had something to do with his wifes death, and maybe somethings not right with Silent Hill!
Whats unique about the game is the way it invisibly blends a hard-and-fast narrative with input from the player. Rather than obvious points of narrative divergence where the player picks an option or takes action when prompted, the game collates a long list of things youve done while playing to come up with one of six possible endings: all without ever cluing the player in on this process.
