Hitman's NPC AI could mean a return to form for Agent 47

PCgamer: "There was a moment, right at the start of Hitman's Gamescom presentation, where Agent 47 walks in front of a news broadcaster's camera. She cuts the take, and mutters something under her breath about the interruption. It's a seemingly small, insignificant moment, but one that's on my mind as I interview Io Interactive's studio head, Hannes Seifert. I ask him about the new game's AI, and his response gives me hope that the new Hitman could be the best one yet."

Hitman could start a trend in gaming

Added: 15.08.2015 8:18 | 18 views | 0 comments

Hitman comes out on December 8th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Fans are wondering though, will it be a big enough game at release? Or will gamers have to wait until future updates come out to get the full experience? Could this in turn be a thing more developers do with their games? Release a game at full price and dish out new content weekly? Other developers are doing similar things, like Telltale with their popular titles doing the episodic thing. Will Hitman start a trend where bigger games start to adopt this idea?

The next iteration of the series is just called Hitman and while it respects its roots, it also breaks new ground in terms of graphics, business model and non-linear gameplay. For many years, BAFTA award winner Jesper Kyd accompanied the Hitman series with his soundtrack compositions. Then, suddenly, Kyd was replaced for Hitman: Absolution by Thomas Bärtschi with additional music written by Peter Kyed, Peter Peter and Dynamedion. At Gamescom 2015, Hannes Seifert, Studio Head of Io-Interactive revealed Niels Bye Nielsen as the new composer for the next Hitman game in an exclusive interview with Nova Crystallis.

Hitman is about tools and planning rather than abilities

Added: 09.08.2015 15:18 | 8 views | 0 comments

GR: "Baldy dispenser of death Agent 47 has never been short of ways to dispatch his unfortunate targets (just check out that leaked Alpha footage to see how creative he can get), but the upcoming current-gen reboot of the Hitman franchise is aiming to hark back to the precise planning of old. Sure, the iconic hired gun has new parkour abilities to navigate the dynamic sandboxes of his new episodic adventure, but it's his new tools and gadgets that will make or break an assassination."
