Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Vita) Review - Push Square
Added: 30.08.2014 13:12 | 16 views | 0 comments
Push Square: "Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is a light hearted RPG that allows you to shut down your brain, without ever losing its challenge. This makes it an excellent entry point for genre or series newcomers, as even though its based upon an older game, its been completely overhauled to feel modern and fresh. While the plot itself may make you ponder whether the Goddesses care more about pudding than the people that they are meant to be saving, its silly enough to keep you entertained. And if youre fascinated by the idea of system warriors uniting to save an interesting interpretation of the games industry, then this is one console war worth getting involved in."

Jarrett writes - "I admit, JRPGs nestled firmly in the safe and dated bosom of anime tropes arent my cup of tea, but Id be hard pressed to recommend Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1 to anyone."

"If youve been kicking around PlayStation LifeStyle for long, you know that I am not a huge fan of many of the niche Japanese games that get localized, and specifically that I didnt think too highly of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. Keep in mind that this review is coming from the standpoint of a western gamer whose experience in RPGs stemmed from Final Fantasy, and has a mild interest in some westernized anime. If youre the specific market that this game is targeting, then this review is not for you. Youll probably like the game more, appreciate the tropes and the story, and be less annoyed at the characters." - PSLS
