Heroes of the Storm Beta Impressions | Entertainment Buddha

EB's Mark Steighner writes, "Hardcore players will still have their more arcane games of choice, and Heroes may turn out to be a gateway drug for those more complex titles. If not, the game will still introduce many gamers to a genre that they had been hesitating to explore, or who had been turned off to thanks to the MOBA-dicks that inhabit those deeper waters. While the stylized and specific play style of MOBAs will never appeal to every gamer, Heroes of the Storm is an enjoyable, well-conceived, and easily grasped entry level introduction to the genre."

First Impressions - Advanced Warfare: Exo Zombies

Added: 30.01.2015 11:10 | 1 views | 0 comments

MWEB GameZone Writes:" This is no revolutionary zombies game mode, but it doesn't need to be. Sledgehammer Games might copy a huge majority of the game from their Call of Duty counterpart, Treyarch, but by doing so they prove that sticking to a winning formula isn't bad idea. "

One of the few games that had its official unveil at PAX South was RONIN, which is developed by Tomasz Waclawek, and will be published for PC, Mac, and Linux platforms by Indie super publisher Devolver Digital sometime this fall. This unique turn-based action platformer definitely drew in large crowds at the DD booth, and after getting some hands-on time with RONIN, its easy to see why PAX South attendees flocked to its station.

I must tell you that I didnt have much background with the Homeworld franchise, but after checking out the work that the team has accomplished with the remastered versions, Im definitely a new fan, and enjoyed the small slivers of the game that I got to play."

Hands-on Impressions of Moonrise, a Solid Mobile Creature Collection RPG | Entertainment Buddha

Added: 27.01.2015 22:10 | 5 views | 0 comments

EB's Matt Heywood writes, "PAX South was full of soon-to-be released titles from a variety of studios that range in size from two person teams, to full on AAA-sized staffs of 50 or more employees. One of the standout games that I had a chance to play at the show comes from Undead Labs and Kabam called Moonrise, which is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer RPG with hints of Pokemon, thanks to its focus on creature collection. This touch-based title is in development for iOS and Android devices with the promise of cross-device play courtesy of a Facebook login, and is set to release sometime in 2015."

Hands-on Impressions of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate From PAX South 2015 | Entertainment Buddha

Added: 26.01.2015 21:11 | 5 views | 0 comments

EB's Matt Heywood writes, "Id like to preface this hands-on preview by saying I have never played a Monster Hunter game up until this point in my life, but after playing Monster Hunter 4 with three other gamers Im sold on the franchise and cant wait to take the fourth iteration for an extended spin on February 13, 2015. Due to my inexperience with the franchise youll also have to excuse my lack knowledge with its inner-workings, but luckily for other Monster Hunter noobs, MH4 is quite easy to pick up and play, so itll be a good place to dive into the franchise if youre looking for a new 3DS title."
