BT writes: Mortal Kombat was my 2011 Game of the Year. That may seem outlandish for a timeframe that saw releases such as Portal 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but NetherRealm Studios surpassed even those achievements with a product that not only revitalized a rudderless franchise, but raised the bar for the entire fighting game genre. Injustice: Gods Among Us is the second attempt at creating an Ed Boon fighter with characters from the DC Comics universe, but coming off the success of MK9 inspires an entirely different brand of confidence. The question isnt whether or not Injustice is goodits whether its unique enough to stand up on its own.

"Injustice: Gods Among Us is fun game with good mechanics with fan service galore and most importantly, it doesnt feel like a Mortal Kombat clone. Even with the short story, few overpowered playable characters, and a somewhat frustrating challenge mode, Injustice is definitely one of the best fighting games of the year." - Terrence Billingsley of Geekenstein.com
