If you played the last Mortal Kombat, you know Netherrealm studios brought their A game, creating a coherent and fun story mode while bringing all of our favorite kombatants to the fold. When Injustice: Gods Among Us was first announced, many feared it would be another Mortal Kombat vs. DC debacle, but if youve been keeping up with your gaming news you know this is nowhere near the case. Injustice is one of the best DC games ever released, and is a love letter to fans of the bat, the clown, the man of steel and any other DC character you can think of.

News: UK Video Game Chart: Injustice knocks BioShock off the No.1 spot

Warner's first No.1 since LEGO Batman 2.

The DC Comics fighting game is Warner's first UK No.1 since LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes debuted at No.1 back in week 25, 2012.

Injustice also did one better than Netherrealm's Mortal Kombat, which charted at No.2 back in week 15, 2011. In fact the previous fighting title to make No.1 was THQ's UFC Undisputed 3 back in week 7, 2012, which sold around the same amount of units as Injustice managed.

BioShock: Infinite sales fell 43 per cent, but still shifted enough copies to fend off Fire Emblem: Awakening on 3DS which enters the charts at No.3. The RPG was also...

UK Charts - Injustice Knocks BioShock From the Top Spot

GodisaGeek: "After the critical acclaim bestowed upon BioShock Infinite, it was always going to be a tough game to oust from the top spot in the UK charts. Thankfully, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a damn fine fighting game, and it features Batman, so it was bound to sell."

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review | Impulse Gamer

Impulse Gamer: "Injustice Gods Among Us is a superb game if you love the DC Universe as NetherRealm not only pay homage to the world of DC Comics but creates a very sturdy fighting game based on the Mortal Kombat engine. Sure it does feel like Mortal Kombat at times but the story, characters and gameplay still makes this title quite unique. Even if you don't know much about DC Comics or prefer Marvel Comics, I would still recommend that you check out Injustice Gods Among Us because it's a very enjoyable game, especially the single-player story."

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review - Dusty Cartridge

Mark from DC writes: Injustice: Gods Among Us held such great potential. It teased that the richness of the DC universe would be intertwined with amazingly brutal combat and a story laced with the philosophical musing that has been part of the human psyche since we stopped eating dirt what would happen if there were actual gods among us? Injustice is a game of one great accomplishment that is threatened by the many and varied mistakes it makes, some of which are easy to ignore, plain silly, or just failed to meet those expectations it all but promised.

"There are a few genres in gaming that I avoid because of my intense suckage at their games. Sports is one of them because I dont find any real sports to be all that interesting. Theres a few exceptions like NFL Blitz for how goofy it is, same with Mutant League Hockey and NBA Jam. The closest I ever came to real sports games was RBI baseball on the NES which resulted in much snarling and gnashing of teeth in multiplayer mode. The other genre Ive been avoiding is fighting games."

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review - STN

STN: Fighting games have always been a bit lackluster when it comes to the main story mode, so imagine my surprise when playing through Injustice: Gods Among Us, only to discover that the developer had actually bothered to think about the plot, amazing. The story isn't the only positive point of Injustice obviously, however it is a sign of the quality to expect along the way.
