Insomniac Games and SCEA are geniuses. In most respects, Ratchet Clank: Into The Nexus is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a Ratchet Clank game.

Since 2009s Crack in Time, developer Insomniac Games have been messing about with Ratchet Clanks established formula. We saw the duo being thrown into Co-operative play in All-4-One then defending bases in a sort of tower DEFENSE in Full Frontal Assault. While a developer should never shy away from experimenting, the results were a mixed bag and many fans were crying out for Ratchet to go back to its roots. Insomniac listened and the result is Into the Nexus a-back-to-its-roots gig and serves as an epilogue to the Lombax and his little robotic companions adventures on the PS3. Dont know about you but Im slightly nervous, itll be a crying shame to see such a legendary series to go out with such a whimper so shall we check it out?

DHGF: Into the Nexus is a great game that streamlines the Ratchet Clank experience into a short but fun ride. The gameplay has been refined to the point of being perhaps the best in the series, the story ties up loose ends left by previous games, and the budget price makes the whole package incredibly hard to pass up. I was worried that Insomniac wasnt going to put their best foot forward with this game, but they blew me away. If youre a fan of the series, this is a game you definitely dont want to miss out on.

"If youre anything like me, youve been with Insomniac from the beginning. You may even remember one of the later Spyro 2 levels Metropolis which was pretty much a Ratchet and Clank prototype. It even had clank in it, kind of. It was to Ratchet and Clank what Perfect Dark was to Goldeneye and Timespliters.
