Changing the pace of the Call of Juarez franchise was arguably essential after the poor reception to the last outing, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, and so thats exactly what Ubisoft has done. Techland developing first-person co-op slasher for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in 2013.
Dead Island and Call of Juarez series developer Techland today announced Hellraid, the game formerly known as Project Hell. Due out in 2013, the first-person hack-and-slash game is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Hellraid features a single-player campaign and a "unique" cooperative multiplayer component that pits four players against creatures of Hell.
"The armies of Hell brought pain and destruction to the realm of man, and only a select few have the fighting skills necessary to confront the devilish monstrosities," the game's description reads.
Hellraid promises to combine elements of hack-and-slash role-playing games, first-person shooters, and online multiplayer games. The title also sports a Game Master system that claims to make "each game a different experience" by placing loot and enemies in different places and generating random online challenges.
Techland's current project is on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC for $15.
