Chalgyr's Game Room writes:
Son of Nor is an interesting Indie that originated from Kickstarter and recently found itself in full release after being in Early Access on Steam for some time. Players will find themselves part of a Human Tribe that has been secluded for more than four centuries. After having lived alone and in peace for so long, the tribe members now find themselves once again thrust into conflict by a race that would subjugate or eliminate them. Armed with magical abilities to manipulate anything related to the element of Earth, the player sets out on their adventure.

| Medieval Mercs, Great Looking Action Game, Terrible Kickstarter - Cliqist

Marcus Estrada writes: "You know, a lot of the time there are Kickstarter campaigns which promise a great deal but have little actual game to back up their big words. With that said, I've rarely seen campaigns where they appear to have an excellent game in the works but fail to really advocate for their title on their own campaign page. Medieval Mercs appears to be one such Kickstarter. So let's dig in with what exactly the game is and why it's worth looking into despite a pretty middling Kickstarter page."

| 6 Years Later: The First Kickstarted Video Game is Out in May
Added: 15.04.2015 6:17 | 4 views | 0 comments
Marcus Estrada writes: "When people think back to the first campaign they supported on Kickstarter they often reference Double Fine Adventure. In 2012, this campaign provided an amazing service to Kickstarter by getting the name (and concept of crowdfunding) out there. However, they were not the first to have a successful game campaign. High Strangeness, which was funded back in 2009, actually stands as the first Kickstarted video game. By that token, it also has the unfortunate distinction of having the longest post-Kickstarter to launch development cycle. Some six years later we're finally at the end of the journey as High Strangeness was just given a release date. Seriously!"

Telepath Tactics is an PC, Mac, and Linux SRPG that has mostly been designed by a single guy, Craig Stern, who pretty much is indie developer Sinister Design. Stern ran two Kickstarter campaigns: the second one was successful after he made it possible for players to design their own campaigns with the map editor. Here's what we know about the game so far!

| Where The Seven Dragon Saga Kickstarter Went Wrong

Amanda French writes: "I once covered a variety of reasons why developers should avoid launching crowdfunding campaigns during the holiday season. But it's spring now, right? All the biggest, most expensive holidays are passed, right? So why did the Seven Dragon Saga, a game that had a developed concept, an experienced team, and nostalgic appeal fail? Actually, it's not so hard to understand."

We get confused sometimes, like when we forget we are recording a day early then panic that the PSN store has not updated! We are idiots but that's why you love us. This week we chat through some news, hardly any new releases and discuss Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. We also discuss the Titan Series of boardgames on Kickstarter and whether it's a good thing or not.
