The Mind Hero coming to E3 (Puzzle/platform/dating sim to teach actual psychology too)

Added: 13.06.2015 14:16 | 2 views | 0 comments

According to reports from Gamasutra and Indiegamemag, The Mind Hero will be presented at E3 on June 18. The current Kickstarter ends June 17, and it's been stated that the Kickstarter will restart if it's not funded by then, though it's best to back now to be sure you don't miss out on your chance to get the Kickstarter rewards. The Mind Hero is to be a puzzle/platform/dating sim unlike any other, because it teaches actual psychology subtly within the story, allowing you to take parts of it away into your real life long after completing the game. The story goes that the main character, Colven, is a teenager whose mother and grandfather have been working in a lab that's been experimenting with antidepressants. As it turns out, these pills sent his mother and the 6 girls who tested the medication into a coma, and Colven is able to enter their minds by focusing. As he begins to understand them and help them out, he learns about psychology as well, and what makes us who we are.

Serena Nelson writes: "Two years ago first-person RPG Frontiers ran on Kickstarter and managed to blow past its initial funding goal of $50,000 three times over. However, development of the game has taken a lot longer than developer Lars Simkins originally estimated and in a recent update he mentioned why. Apparently, he's the only person still working on the game, but he's not down and out yet."
