The fitness game genre pretty much spawned directly from the 2008 smash hit, but since then we havent seen a game come close to either the quality or the success of Wii Fit. So for Ubisofts new fitness game, the aptly titled Shape Up, theres a tough challenge on the horizon. Eschewing the serious tone of the original Wii title, Shape Up aims to make fitness fun - yet another challenge by all accounts. Of course, the Kinect 2.0 is by far a more able piece of technology than a Wiimote, so the game has an advantage on that count, but is a fun fitness videogame actually possible? I spent some time with the game recently and while Im not totally sold as of yet, I can see this appealing to a lot of people out there."

Microsoft's vision of a Kinect-powered future never came true. Despite the technological improvements with the Xbox One version, games like Kinect Sports Rivals have proven to be mostly clunky and annoying, while using your voice to browse Netflix is simply a great way to hear yourself repeat "Xbox play" over and over again. It just doesn't work as well as it needs to, which is why you can now buy a cheaper Xbox One sans Kinect. But for those of you who have unplugged the camera, there's finally a good reason to hook it back up again: D4, a surreal new detective adventure that's like a David Lynch game you can talk to.

As revealed by a new short trailer for NBA 2K15, players will be able to scan their face using the PlayStation Eye into the game's MyCareer mode for the very first time.

Perhaps taking a cue from Kinect Sports Rivals and other titles with Kinect-enabled Game Face technology, NBA 2K15 will ask players to place the PlayStation Eye about six to twelve inches from the camera, rotate their head each way about 30 degrees, and then wait thirty seconds for the game to render a 3D model of the player's dome.

Different levels of 'trying' are required. Sony and the PS4 are getting sales regardless of what they do; many of Sony's new following have been swayed by statements (not always necessarily true) made about its number one competitor, Microsoft's Xbox One. Microsoft has more work to do than Sony, although almost completely abandoning Kinect has done wonders for their sales numbers. While none of the employees at Mojang were willing to talk specifics about the speculated deal, they were more than willing to talk about hypotheticals that would give Mojang the unrestricted freedom to create all of the Kinect Sports games they could ever want.
