For anyone born in the early 90s like me, the name Kings Quest will likely be met with a muted response. Born out of the early 80s and quickly building its name as a classic franchise of the era, the series unfortunately disappeared amongst the dissolution of the point-and-click genre in the late 90s and had since become a vague memory lost in the history books that is until now. With the recent resurgence of adventure games, Kings Quest has been resurrected for the modern generation by the team over at The Odd Gentlemen.

The 33rd Golden joystick Awards take place on October 30th, and voting has now opened on this years nominees. This years event takes place at the indig02 at Londons O2 Arena and will be hosted by TV presenter Danny Wallace. There are 24 categories in total, 21 of which are open to the public vote. This years most nominated game is Sonys PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, while the second most nominated will be a surprise to some, although possibly not to those who played it Sam Barlows Her Story. Batman: Arkham Knight claims seven nominations, while Splatoon, Dragon Age: Inquisition and The Witcher 3 claim six.

Gryphon Knight Epic can be challenging especially at the Knight and Epic difficulty levels. This game can also be short and there is a Steam achievement for beating the game in less than two hours. While it's not as fun as other Shoot 'em Up games we have played, Gryphon Knight Epic is entertaining.

WC Did you know Batman: Arkham Knight is STILL not available on PC? Way back in June it emerged the console versions had been prioritised by developers Rocksteady (for whatever reason, I dont know), so come release you had a fairly butter-smooth experience on both PS4 and Xbox One, whilst the PC release was a genuinely unplayable mess for the majority of players. It resulted in Warner Bros. pulling the game from Steam to make amends, yet three whole months later checking the same sales page returns a prompt that proves its still not ready.
