Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita Getting Sequel to Acclaimed Japanese Puzzle Series Zero Escape

Acclaimed visual novel series Zero Escape is set for a third entry, publisher Aksys Games has announced.

Revealed during the Aksys Games Panel at Anime Expo in LA, Zero Escape 3 will be released in 2016, and takes place on Mars. More specifically, the game is set on a test facility designed on Mars designed to evaluate the viability of establishing a colony on the planet.

At the centre of it all is a group of people, whose mental state and their personal dynamics, will be one of the driving forces behind the narrative.

Zero Escape 3, which does not have a subtitle yet, will once again be developed by Chunsoft, with writer and director Kotaro Uchikoshi returning for the project.

The game is scheduled for release on we said "there aren't many [games] that leave you contemplating and debating their story and worldviews long after the final set of credits has rolled ... Virtue's Last Reward takes its place proudly among this crop of games."
