Second episodes always tend to be a little tricky to pull off - youve had your first episode to set out the scene, usually with a set-piece or two to pique the curiosity of attention-fickle viewers. Its even more difficult with games where the passivity of watching a series is replaced with interactivity - not only does the story have to be compelling but the gameplay has to avoid becoming stale. Thats not to say it needs to radically change in every episode, but when you go from escaping the terror of the Red Wedding to moving a heavy barrel across the courtyard of Castle Black, you cant help but feel things have been dialled down a notch

Sam Terry writes- I can put my hand on my heart and say Im absolutely terrible at both the Dark Souls games, and I could never keep at them long enough to feel like I actually progressed anywhere (mainly because I had no clue where I was going!). So when I watched gameplay from Lords of the Fallen, I thought Oh great, I know Im going to buy it and get frustrated because Ill be shit, however it was the complete opposite. Third time lucky seemed ridiculously lucky to say the least.

"Overall, Episode 2 feels like a truncated couple of GRRM chapters, or a mid-season preview on HBO. Theres a little bit of intrigue, a little bit of drama, but not a lot of substance and what is there isnt particularly interesting."
