TwoDashStash: "Complex, smart, brutal and sophisticated are just a few of the words that serve to describe George R.R. Martins epic work A song of Fire and Ice and those very same words can be used to describe Telltale Games Game of Thrones A Telltale Games Series. Indeed, from the opening scenes of the first episode it was clear that the team at Telltale were doing their best to bring the essence of the TV series to players everywhere; a goal in which they succeeded. The question players are left with is whether or not this translates into something gamers want to experience in six two to three hour episodes?"

With the first episode of Game of Thrones A Telltale Games Series, Telltale Games showed that they were able to handle the political intrigue that both the books and the television series have been able to handle well. However, the episode leaned heavily on the performances of the actors from the television series who appeared and (sadly) didnt develop the new characters as well as they could have. The second episode, The Lost Lords, thankfully recenters the series on the Telltale created characters and in doing so, hits its stride in a massive way.

Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"In the world of A Song of Ice and Fire, death comes swiftly and even the most honorable of men and women find themselves falling to blades wielded by those with sinister plans. As we have seen throughout the course of the core series, no one is safe especially if they happen to try and be on the side of good, especially if you are from a small house. With Telltales Game of Thrones: The Lost Lords picking up shortly after the events of the last episode, where does House Forrester go from here?"

Had someone told me Lords of Xulima is a remake of a forgotten SNES game, and I didn't know better, I would have believed them. Similarities to the more gorgeous titles of the 16 and 32 bit era are unmistakable - even though this game runs in the same vein of the more modern turn-based games.

New Gamer Nation writes: "After the experiencing the climax of the season premiere of Telltales Game of Thrones, I couldnt have been anticipating the second episode more. The decisions Id mostly found to be easy conclusions for myself suddenly were more difficult and left me with much more doubt than Telltales previous offerings, and I loved the uncomfortable atmosphere that was established in the first episode. It established especially with the shocking ending that anything can happen, and anyone is fair game."
