Miyamoto has confirmed on Miiverse that the Year of Luigi will be coming to an end on March 18th 2014. This also hints at the possibility of a new game coming before the date! This article contains all of that information.

Taking to Miiverse, Miyamoto thanked everyone for their support during The Year of Luigi but quickly noted that, "all good things must come to an end, and the Year of Luigi will conclude on March 18."
