"Humor doesnt come easily. In fact, humor is so subjective that often a joke may fall flat or just offend. And yet, some people are able to express humorous concepts that a wide range of people find funny. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone seem to be two of these people. Tomorrow, the humorous duo will release South Park: The Stick of Truth, a game they wrote in hopes of capturing the humor of the popular Comedy Central show. Keith from The Outerhaven writes: Recently there was a thread I was involved with on NeoGAF, you can check out that thread here. The question that was asked was regarding owning multiple consoles and does it make sense anymore, especially since the number of 3rd party games outnumber the 1st party games. After skimming over several pages of that conversation, the answer I commonly noticed was that many gamers, including myself, tend to own multiple systems due to several factors including exclusive 1st party titles such as Halo, Uncharted, Super Mario, considering that many choose not to miss out on them. Makes perfect sense, right? Yet, at the same time, the counter-argument was that owning a system for just one or two games was pure insanity, a good point as well.

As the busiest gaming period of the year arrives, what better time to remember the danger of pre-ordering a game off the strength of PR-driven Internet hype? Not every game can be or has to be a Game of the Year contender, but as a gamer its immensely frustrating to see a promising new IP or long-awaited sequel simply phone in adequacy when something so much greater was possible.
Many of these 20 games could have been masterpieces, and all of them should have at least been great games, but through a lack of diligence and a failure to innovate, the results were typically passable yet not really much more.
