"Battlefield: Hardline is a dumb game, both in a literal sense and in a dumb fun kind of way (a term usually reserved for media with little substance that nonetheless entertains provided you can turn your brain off for a few hours). Hardline treads a thin line between the two, mixing some baffling design choices and comically bad writing with some genuine, and often ridiculous, fun. Its an uneven game for sure, not least in the execution of its brand spanking new cops and robbers motif. While this novel change of pace may set Hardline up for a more low-key outing than the rest of the franchises brash military hoo-rah, first-time Battlefield developer Visceral Games has still found time to cram its police tale full of Michael Bay-esque action sequences, a healthy plethora of explosions and absurd tank sections, and even a fight with a full-sized alligator, guaranteeing the nought-to-dumb ratio never wavers too far from the latter end of the scale.
I kind of like it." - Thund...

Michael Kane writes: 'll start off by saying that Battlefield Hardline is the absolute pinnacle of next generation shooters. The controls are exactly the same as in Battlefield 4, but with the Xbox One's triggers, shooting feels nice and pleasant (again, even though it shouldn't). There where some issues for me when driving vehicles. Some felt too twitchy at the wheel, but let me just say, the majority of the vehicles do not have this problem. You will be forgiven if you think that you've slipped into a game of Forza until the enemies flood you.

Drummer Josh Freese has played with just about everyone, from Nine Inch Nails, Devo and The Vandals to Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. He even picks up the sticks on Michael Buble's Christmas album, but his latest work is something a little different - the soundtrack to Battlefield Hardline.

"In a market filled with RPGs, Etrian Mystery Dungeon seeks to do something a bit different and exciting for some, by adapting mechanics from indie rougelike that have been a popular part of the PC market as of late. Does the latest Etrian installment hold up?" -Michael Jordan
