Nvidia GTX 950: The Cheap GPU We Were Waiting For?

RPS:
"Monster GPUs, 4K screens, zillions of pixels pumped per picosecond. These things are exciting. But are they relevant to most of us? When a top graphics card costs over £500 and arguably has an optimal working life of about 18 months to two years, Im not so sure. Either way, most of us simply dont buy that kind of clobber. Instead we buy things like the Nvidias new budget offering, the £120 / $160 GeForce GTX 950. And we buy them because, well, theyre actually affordable. But what exactly is life like at the more prosaic end of the pixel-pumping spectrum? To find out, Ive been slumming it with the new 950. This is what I have discovered."

Dungeon Travellers 2: The Royal Library the Monster Seal is a dungeon-crawling RPG that is a sequel to the Japan only title, To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers. When approaching the game, I wasn't too sure how I would feel about it. Dungeon-crawling is a genre I've generally avoided because I always thought it was lacking even in terms of your more general JRPG turn-based affair. To add onto that, the message that came with the review code said that this title just barely avoided an AO rating from the ESRB, but managed to avoid it by only censoring a small handful of all of the potentially offending images in the game. Needless to say, I was at least intrigued.

Sony's PlayStation Vita gets an unfair rap. It seems that any time Sony makes an announcement, people feel the need to comment that Sony forgot the powerhouse portable. That there are simply no games for the system coming out to play. Yet, there always seems to be a stream of new and interesting titles being released for the system. Anyone who considers themselves a fan of high quality indie games and quirky Japanese fare should consider the Vita the destination platform. To help make this point, Atlus and Aquaplus have added to the deluge of quality games for the device with Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library and the Monster Seal.

Those who continue to watch The Simpsons in recent years tend to agree: no matter how shaky some of the episodes can be, the Itchy and Scratchy segments remain undeniably funny. That portion of the show was initially intended to be an over-the-top reflection of the Warner Brothers and Tom and Jerry shorts that many of us watched as kids. Greek developer Monster Games LLC has taken this idea and ran with it. Based on what was playable at PAX, Apocalypse Cow looks to be the Itchy and Scratchy of indie games.
