Review: Toukiden: Kiwami (New Gamer Nation)

Added: 09.04.2015 0:17 | 8 views | 0 comments

New Gamer Nation writes: "The act of taking down a gargantuan behemoth is an experience that although thrilling and enjoyable is one that is to be had more and more often in recent times, especially after the boom of the of Monster Hunter series and the influx of the similar type games that pit you and some teammates against massive foes. Coming out of Tecmo Koei and Omega Force, whom are most famously known for the Dynasty Warriors series, Toukiden: Kiwami is a revamped version of the games predecessor Toukiden: Age of Demons that came exclusively to the PS Vita previously. Adding in new demons to slay, weapons to wield, story content to play and abilities to use, Kiwami delivers much more than the first game had to offer. Despite the bland, static environments and repetitive nature of the missions, taking down Toukidens big game is great and the amount of party members and equipment at your disposal makes achieving it even better."

Metro: One of the PS Vitas best Monster Hunter clones brings its co-op gameplay to the PS4, along with a sizeable visual and content update. If youre going to release a game called Toukiden: Kiwami in the UK we assume youre already resigned to appealing only to a niche audience. Especially when the headline feature is that its the best Monster Hunter clone on the PlayStation 4. None of that screams mainstream success in the West, but nevertheless this is one of the of the best home console remasters of recent months.

Evolve's Hunting Season Pass and Monster Expansion DLC add to a game that seems to be missing content not long after launch. The hunters and monster released recently are well designed for the most part, and are engaging to play as, but there are a few problems that 2K need to be aware of.

Toukiden Kiwami Review | Attack On Gaming

Added: 07.04.2015 10:17 | 23 views | 0 comments

"To see Omega Force to develop a game such as Toukiden is quite interesting. Despite their decorated history focusing on musou games such as Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors and the recently enhanced port of Bladestorm, Omega Force dives into the action role playing genre. Toukiden: The Age of Demons was released in June 2013 in Japan and February 2014 in North America and Europe, exclusively for the Playstation Portable (in Japan) and the Playstation Vita. The game was a hit in Japan and an enhanced port, entitled Toukiden Kiwami was developed for the two Playstation handhelds as well as the Playstation 4 (only in the west). It can be safely said, then, that playing Toukiden Kiwami has been an enjoyable experience, bringing in excellent Monster Hunter style gameplay with a few twists that keeps it fresh and exciting." - Attack On Gaming Rating: A Large Demonic Spider/10
