While Biowares Mass Effect series allowed fans to customize the appearance of the games protagonist, only half of all Mass Effect 3 players actually bothered to use the feature. The general manager for Biowares Edmonton and Montreal studios Aaryn Flynn revealed that 50 percent of all gamers chose to simply use the default face for Commander Shepard instead of creating their own.
Flynn also stated that there was a large discrepancy in the number of players who actually modified Shepards appearance depending on the selected gender of the character. Like all recent Bioware games, Mass Effect gave fans the option to choose the sex of lead character Commander Shepard.

Pixels for Breakfast writes: Transcendent. That is perhaps the most fitting adjective to describe Child of Lights phenomenal artistic qualities. From GamesReviews:
"When playing Child of Light, I felt a bit melancholic. Ubisoft Montreals own unique take on the RPG genre elicits a sense of somberness throughout its, roughly, 10-hour adventure. Though it doesnt sport a complex or even original story, the way it is told is Child of Lights best strength. By using the UbiArt engine that was created for Rayman Origins several years ago, Ubisoft Montreal is able to perfectly concoct a classic fairy tale experience. Its a visual feast unlike any other that contains a fun, Secret of Mana-style combat system. But the studios clever writing, world building, and character development breathes great, and satisfying complexity into what couldve been an otherwise familiar journey."
