Assassin's Creed Rogue Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 14.11.2014 17:12 | 2 views | 0 comments

Gale writes -"Of course, Assassins Creed Rogue also has its share of hitches that keep it from being truly brilliant. Ive mentioned the contextuality of player actions and the way freeform movement is way too sticky. Combat is the same as it always was too reliant on mindless blocking/countering. Loading times also kept me waiting longer than is acceptable a feat that reminded me what console Im playing the game on. Regardless of the now ancient hardware its running on, Rogue is looking absolutely magnificent with vast open levels and loads of objects on-screen at any given time. It really is dragging the last atoms of strength out of the old generation of consoles, and Id love to see it released on PC at least, if not on Xbox One and PS4. Assassins Creed Rogues greatest asset are its characters and the storyline, but also the fact that the game is filled to the brim with objects of interest if you know what youre looking for. "

This War Of Mine Review - Mouse n Joypad

Rahman writes - "I do have one large gripe with this game though. It seems to focus on playing to the teams strengths, working together and whatnot. But time consuming tasks can only be undertaken by one person. Clearing rubble with your hands takes an eternity, which could easily be sped up by having more than one person work on it. You can make a metalwork table, and subsequently a shovel, but it would be much simpler to just share the workload. This may sound small, but if you only have a certain amount of time to do things in, then every second counts. Plus taking a shovel uses up an inventory space, which could have be used for new objects found in the location, instead of tools."

Pure Pool Xbox One Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 14.11.2014 10:11 | 5 views | 0 comments

Johnny writes -"Pool is a pastime that for me came hand in hand with having a few drinks with friends down the local bar, and it has been a long time since I have played a decent simulation of this much loved game. VooFoo Studios and Ripstone Publishers are hoping to change all that with Pure Pool, which has had previous releases on the PS4 and PC, and is now releasing onto Xbox One. Pool simulators must be difficult to develop, thinking about all of the factors that have to be taken into account they must be a nightmare to code. Imagine all of the work that goes into how each ball reacts to being hit by another and then bouncing off a cushion at an angle to bounce into more balls. No matter how you look at it, there are so many factors to take into consideration its no wonder they are few and far between. Pure Pool however has not only tried to take all these mathematical nightmares on, but also ups the stakes in the visual department. Starting up a game in Pure Pool is simple, an...

Depth Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 13.11.2014 10:11 | 3 views | 0 comments

Megan writes - "Overall, I was very pleased with Depth. Digital Confectioners created an exciting team-based game that, though lacking in content, offered hours of fun gameplay. It utilized a very effective use of audio and visuals to create a stunningly immersive experience, and managed to keep the player engaged enough to handle sitting through a few repetitive rounds. With the addition of a few more maps and maybe one or two additional round types, Depth could easily swim its way to the top of team-based games."
