Dubbed Neplunker, the collaboration is a special action-oriented dungeon, not tied to the main story, where running out of energy or remaining lives means game over. And dying is as easy as falling from a high place or getting hit by bat poop. Outside of this, the magazine also reveals that the Scout System from Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory will return with improvements. The system lets players dispatch scouts to dungeons, and have them return with items, credits, and useful information. Also confirmed, goddess characters Nepgear, Yuni, Rom, and Ram will return in the sequel. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II is due out for PlayStation 4 on April 23 in Japan.

Hyperdimension Neptunia fans have seriously been getting spoiled as of late. This simple JRPG parody of the video game market has not only seen multiple sequels but a handful of genre-switching spin-offs. Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection took fans into an idol simulator experience while the more recent Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart pushes things in a SRPG direction. Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is the series first foray into hack n slash gameplay, but it seems a decision that makes perfect sense.

The Gaming Buddha: As the main Hyperdimension Neptuina series continues to grow, there have been several spin offs and Re;Births of the original series that new and old fans can enjoy. One of those spin offs take one of the series favorite CPUs (and my personal favorite), Noire, and give her own game: Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart. Will Hyperdevotion Noire be any different from the Hyperdimension Neptunia series or will Noire fall victim to clone-itis?

Jorge S Fernandez: "Compile Heart must be seriously banking on the Hypderdimension Neptunia franchise with the amount of games they keep pumping out annually. Hardly a surprise, considering the relatively small budget that clearly prioritizes the moe character designs and scenarios that serve as the bread and butter for their niche fanbase. However, as a continued reviewer of the series, I will be the first to admit that the Neptunia games do feature a robust and easy-to-learn RPG system underneath its fanservice Anime aesthetic."
