Double Take: Why Star Fox ZERO Cant be Splatoon
Added: 21.09.2015 0:17 | 132 views | 0 comments
The chain reaction set off by Shigeru Miyamotos announcement of the delay of the Wii U exclusive Star Fox ZERO has been a rather big one.
Several Nintendo fans quickly expressed their disdain for the announcement with statements like: the Wii U is officially dead, its going to suffer this winter and Nintendos digging their own grave.
With that in mind, some have pointed to Splatoon as reference, arguing that it wasnt finished at the time of its release, and has been getting away with receiving regular updates. No doubt, it is true that a lot of content was missing from the title upon its release, but can Nintendo truly do the same thing for Star Fox ZERO?

| RETRO VGS Sees Immense Social Media Backlash as Crowdfunding Project Begins
Added: 20.09.2015 12:17 | 97 views | 0 comments
Carl Williams writes, "The RETRO VGS is to be a new gaming console that hearkens back to the early days of gaming, before on-line capabilities, before patches and in app purchases seeped in. Many of us remember this as the days of the 32-Bit era (Sega Saturn, PSOne, Nintendo 64) and earlier- more fondly at about the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis era. The RETRO VGS is taking this seriously, it is not just lip service, as the medium for the games is cartridges, not CD-ROM, not DVDs, not downloadable over an Internet store. This may sound like one of the stupidest things ever but for many, it is an exciting event. The team behind the RETRO VGS are giving gamers the chance to speak with their dollars via an IndieGoGo campaign. The real question is, will enough gamers speak? As with most things, there is a quite vocal group on social media that are speaking but they are not speaking with their dollars."

| [TGS 15] Hyrule Warriors Legends: more characters to be revealed, amiibo support confirmed

A few minutes ago, 4Gamer published their interview with Yosuke Hayashi, Producer of Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends. In it, M. Hayashi explains why the game is coming out on Nintendo 3DS, and gives some additional details about the game, such as amiibo compatibility and more.
First, he explains that Hyrule Warriors Legends is coming to Nintendo 3DS for one good reason: right after the launch of Hyrule Warriors, many players in Japan and abroad told the developers they would really like to be able to play the game on their handheld. Also, Yosuke Hayashi notes that there had already been several Zelda games on Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, so this was an opportunity they couldnt pass.

DD:
The idea of making my own Super Mario levels has been a dream of mine for literally decades. Sure there have been shady means to do it through emulation, but I just did not have the time nor the patience for that. But fast forward to 2015 and my dream has come true. I suspect many people feel the same way, and it's just as well that Super Mario Maker does it so very, very well.
