Winter is coming. Protect your wallets, for Steam has announced its annual Holiday Sale dates.

Although the discounts have not yet been confirmed yet, Steam will begin its Holiday Sale on Thursday, December 18, running until Friday, January 2. Traditionally, the Steam sales slash huge percentages off of both indie and triple-A titles. This summer's sale included deep discounts on Far Cry 3 and indie hit Don't Starve, and their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale saw Batman: Arkham Origins on the cheap.

Character Growth Dragon Age: Leliana and Morrigan

Crystal Mills from The Koalition writes: "My love for the Dragon Age series is undoubtedly fueled by the characters. Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 both introduced and fleshed out amazing, complex characters that transcended the usual supporting role in RPGs. Because of this, its really interesting to me to follow them through their growth. In Dragon Age: Origins, we saw two clashing images between the faith-driven Leliana and the cynical Morrigan. While these traits werent the only existing characteristics (especially if you romanced one or the other) in them, they each had a very defining image that didnt shift too much through the Blight. But now in Dragon Age: Inquisition, a decade after the events of Origins, these two characters have made some pretty major shifts in their thoughts and actions."

Dragon Age: Inquistion: Decisions and Dragons

Added: 09.12.2014 9:11 | 11 views | 0 comments

Technology Tell writes, "Query: If each of the three Dragon Age games took place in different fantasy worlds, would we sense any connection between them? If Dragon Age: Origins was set in Robert Jordans The Wheel of Time, Dragon Age II was set in Ursula K. Le Guins Earthsea, and Dragon Age: Inquisition was set in Terry Goodkinds The Sword of Truth, would we be able to detect any familiarity between the three games? True, each has that distinct Bioware feel: the dialogue choices, the focus on character interaction, the trio of companions that trail behind you wherever you go, the familiar raft of Bioware bugs that endure no matter how many times they change the engine. I suppose the question Im really asking is, if the consistent ideology underlying the series the chantry, the templars, the darkspawn and gray wardens and dwarves and elves and arls enrich the story or weigh it down."
