What sets Persona 4: Dancing All Night apart in the world of rhythm games is the feel of dancing. I don't know the secret, but Atlus somehow made P4D so that I feel like I'm really participating. Hatsune Miku and some other rhythm titles also have dancing characters bopping around while players jam away with rhythmic taps, but none of them made me feel like I was right in there experiencing the action. Watching Yosuke drop his sweet moves while my fingers move about the buttons and my head bobs with the beat creates more satisfying gameplay than I've found in any music game in the last several years.

The Evolution Championship Series, or EVO for short, takes place every year in Las Vegas as players compete in a variety of fighting games. EVO 2015 officially started today, which means fans will get to watch tournaments in Ultra Street Fighter IV, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Mortal Kombat X, and others. I found that out last year when I watched EVO for the first time and found myself enjoying it despite my general ignorance when it comes to fighting games. I played Street Fighter II when I was a kid and I've enjoyed the last two Mortal Kombat games, but that's about it.

This game is fricking good. As fun as Miku is and Taiko Drum Master and a bunch of others I've played lately, this is the first in a long time that's really hooked me -- that I really look forward to making time to play. It's great. And hard.
