One-touch racer Pixel Boat Rush rides the waves into a price drop on iOS Fancy riding some hot summer waves today? Good, because the Bronze Award-winning Pixel Boat Rush is on sale right now on iOS. It's a one-touch racer in which you need to control the throttle of a speedboat while hopping across the gnarly curls of the sea. Making matters harder is the fact ...

Randals Monday Review: A Case of the Mondays - Pixel Related

Added: 20.11.2014 23:11 | 4 views | 0 comments

Randals Monday is, if nothing else, a weird game. Clearly inspired by Kevin Smith, the game uses characters and voice actors from the View Askewniverse, yet at the same time is clearly not taking place in that same world. The game uses a lot of referential humor, while at the same time it often avoids outright saying what the references are from. But strangest, and perhaps most frustrating of all, is that its a point and click adventure game with what feels like the same amount of dialog as a Bioware game.

Ikaruga Ported to the Texas Instruments TI-83 Graphing Calculator

Added: 19.11.2014 7:11 | 3 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "Over 13 years ago when Treasure released Ikaruga to the world- well Japanese arcades and then the Sega Dreamcast- gamers were in awe of the graphics and challenge that Ikaruga posed. Eventually the world got Ikaruga on the Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox Live and an enhanced version on Windows but what about those lowly retro systems that gamers have forgotten, or didnt even think of as a gaming platform? Things such as the Texas Instruments TI-83 and TI-84 graphing calculators. These were never meant to play simple games like tic-tac-toe let alone play something like Ikaruga. The team over at RMV Pixel Engineers didnt get that memo though."

Bayonetta 2: Packing The Soul 2014 Forgot

Pixel Gate UK writes: ''2014 has been a hit or miss year for video games, at least from a personal point of view. Theres a number of big releases that have felt a little soulless. While the production values may be top notch on the likes of Watch Dogs, EA UFC and the Evil Within, the games never felt like they had much character. Does this make them bad games? Not really, but it does make them rather forgettable. A video game with charm and character can easily overcome its bigger issues, be it a technical issue or something less serious''

Review: Flyhunter Origins

Added: 18.11.2014 12:00 | 6 views | 0 comments

Flyhunter Origins While the rest of the games world returns to the raw pixels of yesteryear for its platformers, Steel Wool Games has gone in the opposite direction. Flyhunter Origins is a triumph of smartphone gaming animation, which isn't altogether surprising given that actual Pixar animators are the driving force behind it. But astonishing graphics are almost suspicious these days. We've been dazzled by ...
