The Deer God Employs Metroidvania Gaming in 3D Pixel Art Adventure

Carl Williams writes, "Quick, without the help of Google, name off the number of games where you play a deer. No, hunting games dont count- you are not controlling the deer in those rather you are shooting them. Other than Rocky and Bullwinkle (which did not involve a deer but a moose) there are not many games that pay homage to these four legged graceful creatures. Until now."

| Another Dead Island Game Announced Is It One Too Many?

Pixel Gate writes:
''Dead Island 2 was some what of a surprise announcement. Given the short gaps between the first two games releases, it was expected that the franchise would be rested in terms of main entries. While the reaction to the Dead Island 2 trailer was positive, theres still groans over yet another zombie game. The over saturation of Zombies in the media, especially video games, has left a lot of people jaded. With Dead Island, H1Z1 and Dying Light, the zombie sub genre is set to grow and grow.''

From the review, "The gameplay mechanics in Pixel Boy are deceivingly simple. You control Pixel Boy with the typical wasd keys to maneuver around the constantly evolving dungeons, and you use your mouse to shoot. Sounds simple enough right? Except this game quickly gets difficult, even for the most well coordinated people who can tap their head while rubbing their stomach."

When mobile titles have been ported to services like Steam or Xbox Live Arcade, theyve often times suffered from improper pricing. The most egregious example is probably Angry Birds launching for a near full-retail price on consoles, yet many others have suffered from improper pricing. So, hearing that a game has been ported from a flash game, to a full sized mobile/OUYA game and that version has been ported back onto PCs through Steam, you might expect the game to be too pricey or not be as much fun. Thankfully, Knightmare Tower is just as fun on Steam as it is on mobile devices and its price isnt terrible either.
