GamesAsylum: "It doesnt take long to realise Platinum Games were up against a very tight schedule with this Nickelodeon tie-in. For us, that moment became all too apparent when being ushered down one narrow corridor to next in order to fight yet another bunch of identical enemies"

"Over the Wii Us short lifespan, it has had several studios and teams deliver fantastic content to the console. From major first- and second-party studios to third-party collaborations to smaller indie developers coming in with great content, its not hard to immediately find excellent developers that have benefited the console immensely. However, there is one that Id argue has arguably been more important for the console than anyone else so far: Platinum Games."

| Review: Bayonetta 2 - Ask Your Mum Gaming
Added: 24.11.2014 14:11 | 8 views | 0 comments
...
For those of you who dont know who Bayonetta is, shes a witch of the Umbra clan, and generally goes about kicking the asses of angels with demons and guns, which she has on her feet and hands. Guns as stilettos? Sure thing Platinum Games, sure thing. The basic premise of the story is that Bayonettas friend, Jeanne, gets sent to hell so she decides to rescue her. Along the way, she bumps into Loki who generally makes things a bit difficult, because both demons and angels seem a bit angry with him. Its a step forward from the first games amnesia based storyline but after The Wonderful 101, you cant help but feel that Platinum couldve wrote a better storyline for this game.

| Bayonetta 2 Review [Capsule Computers]
Added: 21.11.2014 10:11 | 7 views | 0 comments
Dustin Spencer from Capsule Computers writes "Five years ago, Platinum Games brought us Bayonetta. She was stylish, fast, and over-the-top, but at that time, that little title hit the spot and set a bar in the action genre, instantly cementing the female figure as a mainstay within the industry. Even though the game performed well, a lot of companies lacked the faith to back a sequel, so Platinum turned to the unlikely source of Nintendo for publishing rights. The Wii U itself seems like an unlikely home to such a wild beauty, but oddly enough, this sequel feels right at home on the platform. The big question for Bayonetta fans is what did we want out of a sequel and how much can be delivered this time around compared to the first game, which turned the knob up to the top and then proceeded to beak it off completely. "
