Final Fantasy VIII Revisited

Added: 31.08.2015 11:17 | 6 views | 0 comments

Checkpoint Ahead: "Im a PlayStation gamer through and through. The first console I ever owned was a PlayStation. The first game I ever owned was NCAA 99 and playing it made me realize that I was not a fan of sports games. After begging my dad to take me to the game store I finally convinced him to buy me what I considered my real first PlayStation experience: Final Fantasy VIII. I was blown away. It was a real story and it had deep gameplay mechanics. Figuring it out how it all worked was the most rewarding experience I had as a gamer."

Calvino Noir Review | PlayStation Enthusiast

Added: 31.08.2015 10:17 | 3 views | 0 comments

"I really wanted to like Calvino Noir. Ever since finishing L.A. Noir I have waited patiently for the next great noir title to satisfy my melancholy, storytelling desires. It looks good (other than stilted character animations), its wonderfully well written, and it captures the gloomy rain-soaked noir atmosphere perfectly. A sinister foreboding presence always accompanies your fellow protagonists, where its characters are only ever a plot twist away from betrayal. However, it never quite clicks. Its obvious there are some great ideas, but the gameplay and controls make it too clunky and over-cumbersome to really enjoy. Calvino Noirs blend of mechanics just never successfully mesh." -- PlayStation Enthusiast

Added: 31.08.2015 10:17 | 27 views | 0 comments

Mega Man has never been treated as kindly as some of his contemporaries. Unlike fellow console stalwarts like Mario, who have had their legacy nurtured for decades, Mega Man seemingly fell out favour with most gamers with the advent of the PSX, with increasingly lacklustre iterations keeping the franchise limping along until retro throwbacks Mega Man 9 and 10 managed to capture the essence of what made the original series (As well as the Mega Man X spin-offs) so successful.

Added: 31.08.2015 7:18 | 15 views | 0 comments

"This is just one of those things right? One so very aggravating; the fact that we just cant seem to make a great movie adaptation of a video game. We try and try and try again, but we never seem to get it right. Now, theres a difference between a successful movie franchise and a good movie. Take in to account Resident Evil for example. The movie adaptation franchise has found a high amount of success in the box office compared to other attempts at bringing our favorite games to the big screen, but the movies are mediocre at best. They started off promising, sure, but maybe Hollywood took over a little too much -- PlayStation Enthusiast

Xbox One to make huge waves against PS4 this holiday

Added: 31.08.2015 7:18 | 3 views | 0 comments

Sony could be making a huge mistake, or they could be saving a ton of money by not promoting the hell out of their games. Either way, it begs the question: what games does Sony have that make the PlayStation 4 a must-have this holiday season?
