Ross Hartley: "Scourge: Outbreak is an awful name for a videogame. Don't get me wrong, there are loads of games out there with naff names but Scourge: Outbreak is especially bad. Whilst playing, I kept forgetting the name of this game. However, this is the least of Scourge: Outbreak's problems. This is a tedious co-op shooter that may be tempting at only 800 Microsoft Points but you have played better iterations of this style of gameplay many times before."

Ubisoft has announced that Flashback, a remake of the 1992 title, will be released on August 21st as part of the XBLA Summer of Arcade, for 800 Microsoft Points [$10]. It will also release on Playstation Network and Digital PC this autumn. The new updated version will be in HD and 3D but it will also be bundled with the original 1992 game. Ubisoft will be showcasing Flashback at the Xbox Lounge during Comic Con and fans will have hands-on access to experience the newest gameplay demo. MS Points no longer awarded from August 1 – new scheme to be announced September 1.

"Starting August 1, 2013, you will not be able to earn Microsoft Points through Xbox Live Rewards any longer," explains a notice on Xbox Live Rewards. "Not to worry, though! Since this currency change is impacting the structure of the program, we're taking the opportunity to make Xbox Live Rewards even better.

"You'll continue to get rewarded for doing the things you love on Xbox Live – just not with Microsoft Points."

Details of the new Xbox Live Rewards will be revealed on September 1, 2013.

The changes are required as the current program rewards users with Microsoft Points, and those Points are being phased out so that the Xbox Live Marketplace can use real-world currency."
