Diehard GameFAN: A Look at Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut: Ultimate Edition

Added: 22.10.2013 16:18 | 11 views | 0 comments

DHGF:Back in May of this year, I reviewed the Directors Cut of Deadly Premonition aka Red Seeds Profile. I absolutely adored it, and even here in late October, its one of my two favorite games of 2013, along with Shadowrun Returns. I actually platinumd it, something I rarely ever set out to do, and my wife still quotes dialogue from the game. I never bothered to purchase any of the DLC though, as by the time any of it came out, I had already 100%d the game. One of the perks and downsides to being a reviewer I suppose. See also the currently available DLC for Disgaea D2. So when Rising Star Games offered us a review copy of Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut: Ultimate Edition, which was a bundle of the core game and all the DLC, of course I jumped at it.

You Dont Know Zach: Deadly Premonition

RPS writes: The weird, wooden and wonderful world of Deadly Premonition is just around the next curve in the road. The bizarre survival horror game may be on Steam as early as November 1st. If you havent played the game in its previous console incarnations, Id suggest that you avoid reading or watching too much about it. There are reasons that people, myself included, hold the game in such high regard, but there are also plenty of good reasons to dismiss it, including an overlong opening sequence and miserable controls. Theres a trailer below, my favourite one for the game, but its both spoiler-filled and not. Out of context (and even in it), some of the scenes make no sense, but I reckon its better not to know what moods are involved at all. Not long to wait.
