Resident Evil 0 (2016 Remaster) Preview | GameRevolution

Added: 22.06.2015 4:15 | 10 views | 0 comments

GR: Playable at the Capcom booth stood the latest Resident Evil HD remaster, Resident Evil 0. The original game, released on Gamecube in 2002, was a follow-up to Resident Evil. This was all before RE4 would change the series in 2005 with a focus on action and (somewhat) less cheesy storytelling. For those not familiar, Resident Evil 0 is set before the events of the original Resident Evil. In the mountains surrounding Raccoon City, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team is called in to investigate a series of brutal murders. A plane crash strands Bravo member Rebecca Chambers alone to fight off T-Virus monstrosities... until she meets wanted felon Billy Coen. (Sparks fly!)

Master of Orion Preview The Remake We Deserve | The Koalition

David Jagneaux writes: "In todays industry, the term 4x strategy game is synonymous with the likes of the Civilization franchise. In fact, many people misidentify Sid Meiers Civilization as the origin of the genre since it came out all the way back in 1991, but the term was never used to refer to this genre until the original Master of Orion released in 1993. Now, over two decades later, the original father of the 4X genre is seeing a reboot via the remake that it deserves, thanks to Wargaming."

Sword Coast Legends Preview Dungeon Master Done Right | The Koalition

David Jagneaux writes: "If you trace the lineage of every single RPG ever released, especially fantasy games, they will all lead back to Dungeons Dragons at some point. And the lineage goes far beyond that of just the tabletop origins, as DD has firmly established itself as a legend in the video game space as well. Games like Baldurs Gate, Planescape Torment, and Temple of Elemental Evil are some of the best RPGs ever made and all of them are rooted in DD lore and systems. Now with the upcoming release of Sword Coast Legends, n-Space and and Digital Extremes are looking to capture that magic once again, but this time, theyve created some brand new elements to enjoy."

Transformers: Devastation is the Game Fans Have Been Waiting For Hands-On Preview | AOTF

Added: 21.06.2015 23:19 | 5 views | 0 comments

AOTF: Transformers might be one of the biggest franchises on the planet today thanks to the Michael Bay films, but those that prefer the original cartoons are the ones receiving what could be the best game adaptation in the series. Coming from Activision and PlatinumGames, Transformers: Devastation looks to be an amazing game by itself, but as an homage to the classic cartoon it is on a whole other level. The pedigree for Tranformers: Devastation is pretty intense, with voice actors returning from the 1980s TV show and Andy Schmidt from IDW writing the story. That story will take place before the movie, which places it right after season 2 of the show concludes.

Sheltered Preview | GameRevolution

Added: 21.06.2015 21:16 | 0 views | 0 comments

GR: When Unicube started demoing Sheltered for me, I couldnt shake the feeling that this was dramatically similar to this years This War of Mine. Both feature desperate scenarios where people must survive in a found shelter in a world of scarce resources, risky exploration, and the inability to blindly trust anyone you meet. In fact, your characters can get depressed or catatonic from trauma just like This War of Mine. But the developers were ready to address my concerns by showing me whats truly different about their upcoming work, and it turned out to be quite significant.

Richard Simpson: "Jumping in, you are faced with the choice of three different factions to pick from, each offering their own distinct advantages and disadvantages. If you want fast flying fighters and rapid fire weaponry then look at the Terran Republic. If packing a punch with Electromagnetic equipment is your bag, then sign up to the New Conglomerate. If the idea of using vehicles with massive amounts of manoeuvrability is your must have, then the Vanu Sovereignty is where you should set up camp. It is only by diving in and getting your paws mucky that you will learn what best works for you. The Terran Republic was my own favourite, though more hours on the clock might have changed my mind."
