Battle Brothers certainly shows a great deal of potential, and if the developers continue to update it as frequently as they have been, then this game could certainly evolve into a fantastic tactical RPG. For the time being, it is an above-average experience that is worth keeping an eye on.

Rebel Galaxy is a big departure by developers Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer, whose previous work resulted in the seminal Torchlight duology and the initial success of Blizzard North. Rather than embracing the grim darkness of Action-RPGs involving demons however, this time their work is more Elite: Dangerous than it is Diablo. The setting this time is among the stars, where players are tasked with trying to earn their way in the galaxy however they see fit. With a mysterious gift offered from the start and universe of opportunities before them, just how theyll survive is up to the player to decide. Offered six hours to play through and preview this new game, heres a few thoughts on the pros and cons of whats seen so far.

PSX:
Perhaps its unfair to simply categorize a game like Star Wars: Battlefront as a first-person shooter. When one sees the FPS label, one makes certain assumptions, even if many of those assumptions are based on old-fashioned gameplay structures. Perhaps it makes more sense to simply call it an action game played from a first-person standpoint; typical FPSs dont have you riding speeder bikes and zipping through the skies in a TIE Fighter. Thats just above and beyond the standard shooter realm, wouldnt you say? But DICE has been doing this for a while, as those who love the Battlefield vehicles already know.

XBA:
Remember those old playground arguments you'd have over which superhero could beat which, or who would win out of Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, or which is better, a cow or a dog? Well, if you've ever had one of those same arguments about which of the gods would reign supreme in a heated battle, Smite: Battleground of the Gods is the game to turn to when you need a way to settle such a debate.
Norse, Greek, Roman, Chinese, Hindu, Mayan and Egyptian gods all come together for a huge ruckus in Smite, and the results are a dazzling mash-up of pyrotechnics, as giant hammers fly, lightning bolts crash and arrows flash across the screen. It can all get rather hectic very quickly indeed.
