Das Tal Preview | Cubed3

Cubed:
Das Tal focuses on player community and a player controlled world by offering an open sandbox MMORPG where different areas are controlled by different clans in an ever-changing world. The issue at this point, however, is that for a world that focuses heavily on interaction between the player base, the tools to interact with are very limited, namely, the only way to interact with one another is to kill each other. Das Tal seems to be an MMORPG focused solely on the aspect of large-scale team-based PvP. Something not necessarily bad, but when the sole aspect seems to be clans fighting against one another for control of zones, with victims caught in the crossfire, it is hard to see it as great design. Read on for thoughts on the recent play-test.

Nic Bunce for Continue Play takes a look at what we can expect from Final Fantasy XV, based on Square's Episode Duscae demo.
"I cant speak for the linearity or otherwise of the full game Final Fantasy XV isnt due out for a while yet but Episode Duscae certainly makes Squares latest addition to their series look incredibly appealing, either way. Based on the current evidence, Final Fantasy XV is shaping up to be a gorgeous game. Theres still plenty of work to do on the engine to iron out the kinks, but as it stands Final Fantasy XV looks set to be a game Im eager to pay money for and that isnt something Ive said since FFXIII."

PC Gamer - Assassin's Creed Chronicles consolidates the series' epic tale of parkouring and stabbing into two-and-a-half dimensions, while broadening its perspective to even more historical eras and exotic locals. Rather than focusing on just one time period, Chronicles will release in separately sold episodes, with a new character and time period for each. The first of these stars a female assassin in Ming Dynasty China, the next is set in 19th century Russia, and the third in colonial India.
